B. Boutevin et al., SYNTHESIS OF BUTYL ACRYLATE METHYL-METHACRYLATE DIBLOCK COPOLYMERS BYCOUPLING OF 2 TELOMERS, European Polymer Journal, 30(5), 1994, pp. 615-619
Diblock copolymers are obtained by addition of monofunctional telomers
to aromatic diisocyanates [telomers of butyl acrylate or methyl metha
crylate with mercaptoethanol]. These copolymers were synthesized in tw
o steps: preparation of a prepolymer from a monofunctional telomer and
a diisocyanate, then, condensation of the prepolymer isocyanate funct
ion with a second telomer. Acrylic diblock copolymers with different c
hain lengths have been prepared according to this procedure.
