Abstract
A technique is presented for correction of measurement errors in a thr ee-dimensional (3D) laser scanner system. First, a model of the system atic errors is developed based on the geometry of the scanning system. Parameter values are then iteratively searched to minimize an evaluat ion function which represents deviation of measured values from the mo del. It is shown that this method results in measurement precision sui table for practical use.
