Abstract
Tularemia is an illness rare in France. This disease occurs very often after a contact with an infected hare but can also be transmitted by ticks. Ticks transmit tularemia via coxal fluid, feces and salivary in jection. Six clinical types exist : ulceroglandular, glandular, oculog landular, pharyngitis, septicemia, pulmonary, all exist when the infec tion is transmitted by ticks. The diagnosis is made by the isolation o f Francisella tularensis or the serology. The standard treatment is ba sed on aminoglycosides but quinolones seem to be very promising.
