A. Dewilde et al., VALUE OF SINGLE-POINT QUANTIFICATION OF R UBELLA IGG ANTIBODIES USINGELISA IN THE DETERMINATION OF THE IMMUNE STATUS, Medecine et maladies infectieuses, 24(3), 1994, pp. 281-283
An enzyme-linked-immunosorbent-assay (ELISA) using a single-point meas
urement of human IgG antibodies to rubella virus was compared with the
hemagglutination-inhibition test to state the immune status in 416 su
bjects. A good correlation was noted between the two methods (r = 0,89
). The ELISA method is easy to perform and reliable if a threshold of
11 IU/ml is chosen.
