Abstract
The authors present three patients with degenerative disc disease (one asymptomatic patient, one febrile patient without spinal infection, a nd one patient with spinal infection) and cold vertebral lesions on in -111 WBC imaging. These cases illustrate the diagnostic dilemma degene rative disc disease may pose when interpreting an In-111 WBC study in suspected osteomyelitis.
