Abstract
Imaging findings from a single case of disseminated infection with Fus arium are presented. This common fungus has been reported as a rare pa thogen to the immunocompromised. Disseminated foci were identified on a Tc-99m HMPAO labeled WBC study. Two foci were localized to the proxi mal tibia using MRI. In this case, imaging was more sensitive to the e xtent of disease than physical examination, and it also provided a mor e precise estimate of disease progression than clinical evaluation alo ne. Imaging offers potential to track regression and to identity early recurrence. This is especially valuable because infection with Fusari um tends to be indolent.
