Abstract
Hydrophilic solvents, forming a separate phase in the presence of salt ing-out agents, are used in the extraction of phenol from aqueous solu tions. The dependence of the coefficients of phenol distribution on th e cation and anion radii of the salting-out agent is studied. Extracti on systems that provide nearly complete extraction of phenol from aque ous media are described.
