Highly selective catalysts for alkylation of toluene by ethylene based
on NTsVM zeolite and montmorillonite with a layered-columned structur
e were synthesized. Adsorption, structure, acidic, and catalytic prope
rties of the synthesized products were studied. The use of the layered
-columned montmorillonite as the matrix and the modification of the pr
epared catalysts with boron and phosphorus were shown to increase the
selectivity with respect to p-ethyltoluene to 99.3-100% content in the
isomer mixture formed.
