Abstract
Solid-state irradiation of cyclodextrin complexes of alpha,alpha-dimet hyldeoxybenzoin results in the formation of a significant amount of re arrangement product, 4-isopropylbenzophenone, in addition to cage prod ucts. This behavior is not observed in the photolysis in solution or i n micellar media.
