ANESTHESIA FOR THE EQUINE PATIENT WITH NEUROLOGIC DISEASE

Equine anesthesia and its effects on horses with neurologic disease or central nervous system (CNS) trauma are explored. The administration arid choices of anesthetics are discussed, and practitioners are advis ed of how to handle horses anesthetized for diagnosis or treatment of CNS problems (especially brain) or at risk for seizure activity during the perianesthetic period.
