M. Siemann et al., ENHANCED STABILITY OF AN L-HYDANTOINASE MEDIATED BY ITS CORRESPONDINGPOLYCLONAL ANTIBODY, Biotechnology letters, 16(4), 1994, pp. 349-354
Polyclonal antibodies were produced against the highly purified L-5-ar
yl-alkyl-hydantoinase and hydantoin-racemase of Arthrobacter aurescens
DSM 3747. Serological interaction of the hydantoinase antibody with i
ts corresponding antigenic fraction let to a remarkable improvement of
the stability of the hydantoinase. The immobilization of the catalyti
c active enzyme-antibody complex onto a Sepharose 4B-support underline
d this antibody-mediated stabilization effect, while control experimen
ts with preimmunsera or the hydantoin-racemase antibodies gave no or e
ven a negative effect.
