Ap. Rakcheyev et al., THE PRINCIPAL ASPECTS OF AND PROSPECTS FO R LASER USE IN DERMATOLOGY AND COSMETOLOGY, Vestnik dermatologii i venerologii, (5), 1993, pp. 35-38
Analysis of the principal aspects of laser application in dermatology
and cosmetology has brought the authors to a conclusion that lasers ma
y be used with two basic purposes: stimulation and coagulation. Low-in
tensity He-Ne and semiconductor lasers and high-power argon, carbonic
acid, neodymium and erbium lasers are employed for these purposes. Loc
al, reflecting, and intravenous exposures are carried out. The mechani
sm of therapeutic effect of lasers is mediated by the neurohumoral and
neuroreflectory systems.
