Abstract
The forces of interaction between a single colloid Particle and a flat plate in a dilute solution of a high molecular weight polymer have be en measured. Under conditions of low polymer surface coverage the obse rved forces of interaction are explained by bridging of the polymer be tween the sphere and the plate.
