Abstract
The mean wavelength dependence on pump power in broadband Er3+-doped s uperfluorescent fibre sources for fibre gyroscope applications is stud ied. Data are presented showing that mean wavelength variations with p ump power are length dependent, and can be reduced to zero for selecte d pump powers by optimising the fibre length.
