Abstract
The ion-exchange nitrate-removal plant installed at Isleham, Cambridge shire was commissioned during 1990. A description of the plant and des ign considerations is given, together with operational data. The nitra te-removal plant treats up to 4.5 Ml/d of chalk borehole water. Proble ms encountered are presented together with information on capital and operating costs.
