Smj. Baban, MAPPING TURBIDITY, SURFACE-TEMPERATURE AND WATER CIRCULATION PATTERNSWITH THE AID OF SATELLITE IMAGERY, Journal of the Institution of Water and Environmental Management, 8(2), 1994, pp. 197-204
Water turbidity, surface temperature and circulation of Barton and Wro
xham Broads, two of the Norfolk Broads, were studied using one reflect
ive (TM1) and the thermal (TM6) TM band. The results indicated that th
e through-flowing path of the River Ant in Barton Broad is the major i
nfluence on the distribution of these parameters. In Wroxham Broad, bo
th turbidity and surface temperature displayed a uniform distribution.
This could be explained by the absence of a predominant direction of
flow.
