As. Panasyugin et al., MONTMORILLONITE INTERCALATED BY COMBINED OLIGOMERIC FE-NI COMPLEXES, Russian journal of applied chemistry, 66(5), 1993, pp. 847-851
The properties of montmorillonite intercalated by the combined oligome
ric Fe-Ni complexes has been studied by XPA, IRS, DTA, and benzene ads
orption methods. It has been proved that the interlayer space of the m
odified montmorillonite is 16.2-16. 7 angstrom and does not change app
reciably with increase of the hydroxo-complex content. The modificatio
n causes make the specific surface of the initial clay mineral to grow
from 65 to 207 m2/g. The porous structure of the modified montmorillo
nite is stable until the temperature reaches 800-degrees-C.
