An experiment was conducted in order to investigate the possible diffe
rences between velocity measurements based on the leading edge and fal
ling edge of an RF pulse propagating in an air-filled waveguide. The e
xperiment was performed using a test setup identical to that in [1], e
xcept that two PSPL Model 5810 pulse amplifiers were used to enhance t
he signal amplitude. The experimental observations demonstrate that th
ere are no significant propagation velocity differences between leadin
g edge and falling edge measurements.
