The dynamics of a linear He-Ne laser generation at lambda = 1.15 mum i
s investigated theoretically as well as the modes of a resonator whose
rotating anisotropy directions are harmonically modulated. It is foun
d that in the resonator and in the laser the characteristic oscillatio
ns may set in, such that the polarization ellipse rotates at a higher
frequency than the anisotropy directions of the modulator do. The anis
otropy and modulation parameters are obtained for which one can observ
e an increase in rotation frequency of the polarization ellipse.
