Abstract
Metal hydroxides anodes impregnated on Ni were prepared by electroprec ipitation method and were used for solid polymer electrolyte water ele ctrolysis using OH- ion conductive membrane. Ni(OH)2 showed the lowest oxygen overpotential among hydroxides of Co, Ce, La and Fe under the feed of water and KOH solution to anodes. The oxygen overpotential and anodic IR drop depended on the loading amount of Ni(OH)2.
