M. Motone et al., STUDY ON OH- ION CONDUCTIVE SOLID POLYMER ELECTROLYTE WATER ELECTROLYSIS .2. EFFECTS OF METAL HYDROXIDE IMPREGNATION ON NI ANODE CHARACTERISTICS, Denki Kagaku Oyobi Kogyo Butsuri Kagaku, 62(5), 1994, pp. 425-433
Metal hydroxides anodes impregnated on Ni were prepared by electroprec
ipitation method and were used for solid polymer electrolyte water ele
ctrolysis using OH- ion conductive membrane. Ni(OH)2 showed the lowest
oxygen overpotential among hydroxides of Co, Ce, La and Fe under the
feed of water and KOH solution to anodes. The oxygen overpotential and
anodic IR drop depended on the loading amount of Ni(OH)2.
