Abstract
The main lines of development are considered for the industrial produc tion of alloy steel powders. Descriptions are given of the characteris tics for partially and homogeneously alloyed iron powders and the mech anical properties of steels based on them. Prospects are considered fo r devising techniques for making powder steels with good working prope rties.
