HIS AND HER MARRIAGES - EMPIRICAL-INVESTI GATION ABOUT WELL-BEING, EMPATHY AND SATISFACTION OF HUSBAND-AND-WIFE

A total of 41 couples completed a newly developed questionnaire on par tnership. The tested variables (well-being, satisfaction with partners hip during the last year, empathy), do no exhibit any significant diff erence between men and women. These findings clearly demonstrate that results previously obtained from unpaired data cannot be reproduced if paired samples are investigated. As a consequence, gender stereotypes should be used with caution.
