V. Saranchuk et al., THE INFLUENCE OF A METHOD OF BROWN-COAL CHEMICAL MODIFICATION ON ITS BEHAVIOR IN THE PYROLYSIS PROCESSES, Fuel, 73(6), 1994, pp. 929-932
The influence of various methods of chemical treatment of coal on its
behaviour in inert media and in water vapour has been shown. It has be
en found that during pyrolysis in inert medium, chemical modification
permits variation of the yields of pyrolysis products over a wide rang
e. The attack of coal organic matter (COM) by the water molecule becom
es a principal reaction in water vapour. Evidence in favour of the hyp
othesis for chemical interaction of water vapour with COM paramagnetic
centres (PMC) has been obtained.
