Abstract
Wideband decoupled planar dipoles are suggested for a subsurface trans mitting and receiving antenna. Design parameters of the conductor-back ed cut-off dielectric waveguide containing two planar dipoles above a lossy half space are suggested, and a bandwidth of more than 5 to 1, d ecoupling of - 90 dB for about one wavelength separation are obtained.
