Abstract
Coarctation of the aorta is a constellation of aortic obstructive lesi ons that may occur from the ascending to descending abdominal aorta. I t is frequently associated with a variety of other obstructive and non obstructive intracardiac defects. A strategy for the management of the se lesions is presented encompassing the indications for operation, pr eoperative management, and operative techniques, options, and results.
