Abstract
The multiplicative and low-bandpass filtering characteristics of real- time holograms in photorefractive media are used as a basis for a base band frequency demodulator by means of holographic homodyne detection. We experimentally demonstrate the demodulation of spatial bandpass si gnals in the kilohertz regime and homodyne detection in the gigahertz regime.
