Abstract
We present a perturbative analysis of the interaction between three op tical solitons in the presence of synchronous amplitude modulation and bandwidth limited amplification. We predict and experimentally observ e the self-generation of sequences of interacting soliton pulses with a fixed temporal separation that circulate inside an actively mode-loc ked erbium-doped fiber ring soliton laser.
