Anomalous corrections to the resistance have been found in mesoscopic
normal-metal-superconductor (NS) structures below T-C. They differ fro
m those described by the classical ''proximity'' theory in sensitivity
to magnetic field, temperature, and rf irradiation. Contrary to the c
ase of the classical proximity effect the anomalous corrections can be
both positive and negative. A possible model which describes the anom
alous corrections reported here is discussed.
