Ws. Kao et al., COMPARISON OF SIMULATED POWER-SYSTEM DYNAMICS APPLYING VARIOUS LOAD MODELS WITH ACTUAL RECORDED DATA, IEEE transactions on power systems, 9(1), 1994, pp. 248-254
Time domain stability simulation results using derived load models wer
e compared with corresponding data obtained from transient disturbance
recorders to validate the accuracy of the load models. Observations o
f real and reactive power load responses at primary substations and re
al and reactive power flows on major trunk lines indicated that using
a composite (dynamic and static) load model provides a more accurate r
epresentation than other models. and closely matches the actual record
ed values from the Taipower System. A severe fault, during which enorm
ous voltage and frequency excursions occurred in the system. was exten
sively examined considering load rejection due to large voltage drops.
