LAPAROSCOPIC CONDOM DISSECTION - NEW TECHNIQUE OF RETROPERITONEOSCOPY

The laparoscopic condom dissection is an advancement on the recently d escribed balloon dissection technique of retroperitoneoscopy. It allow s a simultaneous balloon dissection and retroperitoneal laparoscopic d issection using a telescope placed inside a condom balloon. In spite o f a mild masking effect by the balloon, the clarity of vision was sati sfactory, and adequate dissection could be carried out in all rive pat ients in whom the condom was placed deep to the fascia transversalis o r Gerota's fascia.
