S. Suzuki et al., CHANGES IN CELL MORPHOLOGY AND POLYAMINE COMPOSITION DURING GROWTH OFCAMPYLOBACTER-JEJUNI, World journal of microbiology & biotechnology, 10(3), 1994, pp. 352-353
Resting cells of Campylobacter jejuni were spherical whereas growing c
ells were mainly spiral. Content of cadaverine increased with the decr
ease in spherical forms prior to growth commencing but production of s
permidine increased in early log phase. Cadaverine and spermidine are
possibly involved in changes in cell morphology and growth, respective
