Abstract
This paper discusses the relationship between institutional mission an d publication productivity in school psychology, categorizes the top 5 0 institutions identified by Webster, Hall, and Bolen (1993) by univer sity mission, and presents publication productivity rankings by catego ry of institution. As expected, analysis suggests that doctoral instit utions have higher productivity ratings than comprehensive universitie s. Results are compared with those presented by Webster et al., and im plications of considering publication productivity in light of institu tional mission are discussed.
