Abstract
The work presents the numerically calculated spectral characteristics of the recently proposed new type of infrared photodetector utilizing electromagnetic carrier depletion (EMCD). The detector was optimized f or CO2 laser radiation (10.6 mum). The results are given for high-qual ity (Hg, Cd)Te material at 225 K.
