The equilibrium of pentafluorophenylthio-1,2-dimethylacenaphthylenium
and cenaphthylene-1,2-S-pentafluorophenylepisulphonium ions in differe
nt media has been investigated by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy using
isotope perturbation. It has been found that this equilibrium is weakl
y sensitive to variation in the medium.
