Abstract
OTF3 (octamer transcription factor 3) is a transcription factor contai ning a POU-specific domain and a homeodomain that could play-a role in early development. In situ hybridization and pairwise linkage analysi s showed that OTF3 gene maps close to the human MHC (major histocompat ibility complex). In this paper, we define its localization within the MHC, around 100 kb telomeric to HLA-C, using a combination of physica l and genetic analyses. (C) 1994 Academic Press, Inc.
