Abstract
To what extent has ethnic diversity been achieved among RNs on hospita l patient care units? Data from a study that included more than 2500 r egistered nurses employed in Chicago hospitals provide a picture of th e ethnic diversity among hospital unit nursing work teams in one metro politan area and provide clues about research, administrative activiti es, and employment and educational strategies that may enhance progres s toward ethnic diversity.
