Abstract
Areno-anellated [3.3.n]propellanes with n = 2, 3, and 4 are easily acc essible by palladium-catalyzed domino coupling processes of the pental ene system 8 with various aryl iodides. The X-ray structure investigat ions revealed a noteworthy elongation of the central C-C single bond o f these propellanes to ca. 162 pm.
