Y. Melamed et al., CONSERVATIVE MULTIDISCIPLINARY TREATMENT APPROACH IN AN UNUSUAL ODONTODYSPLASIA, Journal of dentistry for children, 61(2), 1994, pp. 119-124
An unusual case of odontodysplasia is presented, involving both primar
y and permanent dentition, with oligodontia of permanent teeth and hyp
oplasia, taurodontism and incomplete eruption of a first permanent mol
ar. In order to improve the patient's appearance, occlusion and functi
on, his intra- and inter-arch relationships were altered. To accomplis
h this, a multidisciplinary treatment approach was adopted, involving
restorative and prosthetic treatments by a pediatric dentist, accompan
ied by periodontal surgery, endodontics and orthodontics.
