Results of experimental investigation of interaction of an atmosphere
containing water vapor and condensate which was produced during pulse
vaporization of clinopyroxene are presented. It was shown that hydroxi
des are effectively formed during the contact of hot condensed particl
es with water vapor. Mostly all elements form the hydroxides, but Mg a
nd Si form such compounds most effectively. The concentration of trapp
ed water in condensate in a form of hydroxide is variable depending on
conditions Of water vapor and condensate interaction and can attain 1
0 wt.% of condensate. This effect is discussed in connection with the
problem of formation of an atmosphere of impact origin.
