Abstract
The statistical treatment of the data on the mezoplankton biomass in t he surface layer (down to 100 m) of the western part of the Bering Sea and the adjacent regions of the Pacific is carried out. The biomass v alues change from 74 mg/m3 in winter to 770 mg/m3 in summer, the annua l average value being equal to 240 mg/m3. These changes are in close a greement with the seasonal biomass variations in the north-east Pacifi c at the weather station ''P'' (50-degrees-N, 145-degrees-W), which we re determined on the basis of long-term investigations.
