Abstract
Often points on a planar curve are recorded by taking two or more over lapping views of the curve. One then wishes to align the data so that the common part of the curve in the two views matches. The alignment c an be done easily by a human, but it can be a tedious process. In this paper, a new method is developed for performing the alignment automat ically by computer.
