Abstract
This paper presents a robust exponential stabilization method for line ar uncertain systems satisfying so-called ''matching conditions.'' Fir st, the optimal solution for the nominal system with respect to a quad ratic performance index with a prescribed degree of stability is solve d. On using the matching conditions and the upper bounds of these unce rtainties, a modified optimal feedback gain is obtained. This approach can stabilize the uncertain system exponentially. and the prescribed degree of stability can be chosen arbitrarily. An illustrative example is given to show the feasibility of the proposed approach.
