Abstract
Psychodynamic group psychotherapy is gaining renewed attention as an e ffective form of treatment, due in part to increasing economic constra ints that make other forms of treatment less accessible. The author hi ghlights some innovative applications of both extended and time-limite d groups. She also describes specific issues that can be addressed eff ectively in homogeneous time-limited group therapy.
