Jm. Godeau, PARTICULARITIES OF ENZYME DIGESTION IN DO MESTIC CARNIVORES, AND REGULATION OF DIGESTIVE SECRETIONS, Recueil de medecine veterinaire, 169(11-12), 1993, pp. 895-920
Efficiency of enzymatic digestion in the gastro-intestinal tractus of
dog and cat was estimated in health and disease according to canine an
d feline enzyme catalytic properties. Moreover, the regulation of gast
ric and pancreatic enzyme secretions in interdigestive state and in re
sponse to a meal is particularly developed i.e. neuronal and hormonal
regulations, neurohormonal interactions, and some negative feedback re
gulations.
