The energy loss, straggling and multiple scattering of light ions in m
aterials was investigated. particles with crystalline materials was ca
lculated on the basis of Lindhard's dielectric response function. The
contribution of local and global electronic excitation was taken into
account. Simulations and experimental results of other authors in rand
om and low indexed crystal directions are compared with the model calc
ulations.
