Abstract
In the presence of a catalytic amount of tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)p alladium(0), the 1,1,2,2-tetraethoxydimethyldisilane reacts with vario us functional bromoarenes giving the corresponding aryldiethoxymethyls ilanes in good yields. The creation of Si-C(Ar) bonds involving a poly alcoxydisilane as the silylating reagent is here reported for the firs t time.
