Abstract
Thermal fluctuations in surface transmission for axial channeling have been treated with a diffusion equation based on the kinetic equation in phase space. The steady increase model applied earlier is derived a s an approximation to this treatment and it is shown to be particularl y well suited for this problem. Single scattering has been included by a simple analytical model. Numerical results for the contribution to the Barrett factor on the minimum yield are compared with results of c omputer simulation.
