Abstract
A one-phase system using tra(2,6-dichlorophenyl)porphyrinato]magnesium (III) catalyst and ammonium acetate cocatalyst epoxidised alkenes by H 2O2 With complete conversion in excellent yield and hydroxylated alkan es with yields of 45-87%; for most reactions this system gave better r esults than a previously described analogous system using imidazole co catalyst.
