Gj. Hutchings et Df. Lee, CONTROL OF PRODUCT SELECTIVITY FOR THE EPOXIDATION OF ALLYL ALCOHOL BY VARIATION OF THE ACIDITY OF THE CATALYST TS-1, Journal of the Chemical Society, Chemical Communications, (9), 1994, pp. 1095-1096
The acidity of TS-1 controls the product selectivity for the epoxidati
on of allyl alcohol with H2O2; base treatment of TS-l enhances the sel
ectivity to glycidol whereas incorporation of Bronsted acid sites enha
nces the selectivity to the products of solvolysis ring opening reacti
ons.
