Abstract
The synthesis of pyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[3,4-e][1,4]diazepin-5(4H)-one (1 6) and some derivatives are described from methyl 3-bromomethylthiophe ne-4-carboxylate (5). The key step of these sequences is the intramole cular cyclization of the carbonylazides 12 and 13.
